It’s that magic time of year.
When the days are warm, but crisp comes with the sunset.
When school is new enough to be looked-forward-to.
When the blackberries are telling you one thing, while the ivy whispers another.
It is what my ancestors called an Omer–
an time in-between.
What is your soulful self calling you to do in this in-between time,
in this liminal moment?
Mourn?
Remember?
Plan?
Or perhaps, just
Pause?
What ever you do, friends, I ask only this.
Don’t live in regret.
Don’t be anxious about the future.
To everything there is a season.
Be in this one, just now.Soon enough, it will be time to turn.
Amen? (Amen.)

I’ll be writing a book in a campground, living the soulful life with my Flock, and hosting a new video show at SoGo called Relig-ish.
